This is the only detailed script of them that has been recorded to date, although many more shall exist and shall be written. Disparate to their immoral and violent counterpart, The Shadowed Kingdom, and yet similar in their races of warriors and valkyries, the Dynasty β though rulers have shifted throughout the ages β has maintained a reputation of candor, nobility, and sophistication. They were, and still are today, a group who fight for the noblest of causes. They have grown past their roots as rogues, thieves, and shadowy assassins, although darkness blooms even in the more purest of minds. The Dynasty is relatively advanced as well; being able to carve their tales onto parchment and keep them in archives, like the one you see now.
The Elysian make their home in the frigid tundra, nestled at the base of several mountains. The range is rugged and difficult to navigate, only to be navigated by the highest echelon of huntsman and huntresses. All around the main base lays a white expanse of snow, ice and wind; beautiful and chilling to the bone. The temperatures here remain rather cold all year round, with only summer offering the faintest inkling of warmth. However, this mountain range is capable of supporting a substantial amount of life; prey and predator that have adapted to the climate as the cats have. Prey can range from the minuscule chipmunk to the bulky ibex calf to the majestic hawk. Predators include eagle, hawk, lynx, arctic fox and snow leopard. The castle in which the main life of the Dynasty, and that serves as the main residency of the cats, is strong-walled and very easy to defend. Inside, the interior is homey and luxurious, to say the least, and it is massive enough to house the entire kingdom, with a few rooms left over in order to provide meeting areas, mess halls, and the like. No cat, no matter the rank, is not well provided for. And in return, they repay the High Lord with loyalty and pride in the skill.
The Dynasty worships to several gods, being polytheistic. The gods (and goddesses) have their own hierarchy. In order, they are named by mortals as The Empress, The Emissary, The Warbringer, The Archangel, The Harbinger, and The Rogue. The Empress, commonly portrayed as a dark grey tabby molly named Nemain, is the life-mother of the Dynasty itself. It is from her paws that the tundra was formed, and it is by her blessing that the Dynasty has life and prospers even to today. Along with the Rogue, she will judge a catβs soul to determine where they should go before they die. The Emissary, portrayed as a russet maine coon named Sovtia, is the official messenger for the kingdom. He communicates to the High Lord and the priests, acting as the Godβs voice to the mortal realm. His brother is the Harbinger, sometimes called βThe Portender.β The Portender, sometimes called Aelius, is a maine coon with blind ice-blue eyes and a jet-black pelt. Unlike most of the Gods, Aeliusβs pelt does not appear ethereal, rather it appears to be an opaque, cold black. It is the black of dreams, and the black of nightmares, the dark of lovers and the dark of raging battle. Aelius sends visions and speaks to the High Priest should the male come to prayer. He will send omens, notifying the High Priest and rarely the High Lord. The Archangel, also called Micah, appears as a large white serpent or a white owl to the mortal in question who summons her. She rarely appears in her true form, though some people have noted that she is a regal sphinx female with blind white eyes. Despite not being able to see, she is able to see into mortal souls, be it of any species or clan. Micah sees inimical intent and benevolent spirit. Since she is the oldest, it is rumored that she raised the Gods as her own kits. The most rumors surround the last two gods; the Warbringer and The Rogue. The Warbringer, Kyros, is a burly, long-furred pure white tom with a burning aura that is simultaneously cold as death and hot as flame. He is the military adviser, the master of war, death and fate. In the event that he does not show is true form, he appears in the form of a white wolf. His half-brother, the Rogue, is the most arcane and perhaps the most dangerous and misunderstood of all the Gods. He is said to portend death and precede disaster and ruin. While not technically inimical, he is most often portrayed or alluded to in a negative light. If a cat has led a life of evil, he will bring their soul to the Sinister Labyrinth, where they are punished in purgatory for their sins.
The Elysian Dynastyβs hierarchy is drastically different from the normal warrior clan. In fact it is similar to what was once called a βkingdomβ or an βempireβ by a human. In order, the ranks consist of high lord, high consort, crown prince and the royal children, royal advisor, sable shrike, elysian guard, battalion, initiates, dames, younglings, and veterans. The High Lord is the Dynastyβs sovereign, royal father and leader. He is not granted nine lives, unlike a normal leader, but he does have to look after the Dynasty as a whole.
