©- SharkClan resides on an island somewhere off the Scottish coast. There are a few miles of coastline but three of the four sides end in large drop off cliffs. It is only a short swim from the main shore, however. There is a small village at the opposite end of the island, where most of the cats come from.
- Their main camp is an old wrecked fishing boat. There is a hallway below deck. To one end, the master, medic, and nursery. To the other, apprentices, veterans, and sailors. The captain sleeps in the empty captains room. This spot lets him look out for any danger. Every night, several sailors are chosen to stand guard. They sleep on the ship's deck and take shifts as lookouts.
- SharkClan cats are very adamant in their familial behavior. If you are a part of their ranks, you better be ready to be completely enveloped in love and support, as long as there's no threat of mutiny. However that rarely happens because most everyone gets along fine. Sure, there are skirmishes, but no real harm intended. Unfortunately, their devout loyalty doesn't exactly extend to other Clans. If their allies call, they will help if absolutely needed, but they tend to distance themselves from other groups. They will rarely ever attend a gathering and try their best not to get involved with other issues other than their own. Due to this fact, forbidden relationships are exactly that: forbidden. Of course, things happen and you can't exactly chose who you fall in love with, so depending on the case and the clan, the cats might be accepting, especially if the cat wishes to join SharkClan.
Ranks Leader - Captain Deputy - Master Medicine Cat- Medic Warriors - Sailors Apprentices- Apprentices Queens - Queens Elders - Veterans
I'm super excited to write for these guys and have them swear Could this be my leader?

under the spoiler: intro for my new clan, shadeclan
"we will not be beaten again." S H A D E C L A N vengeance, spirits, and foxgloves ❦ history many seasons ago, shadeclan existed far away, thriving alongside two other clans. the other cl ans, however, were fearful of shadeclan, distru sting their abnormal lifestyles and scary beliefs . with their combined might, they drove shadec lan out, destroying the once-strong clan and sc attering the survivors. now, moons later, the la st remaining cat has decided to carry on their c lan's legacy, to reform shadeclan, to build it st ronger than ever before. ❦ beliefs discipline, distrust of outsiders, and intense loy alty are all very valuable traits to shadeclan cat s, who don't take kindly to disobedience of any kind. shadeclan cats believe that betrayal is the most heinous crime one can commit, and punis h it harshly. betrayal includes involving oneself with other clans and going behind a leader's ba ck. spirituality is another valued trait, as shadec lan cats believe firmly in the power of the stars ,their mysterious warrior ancestors who send fr equent messages and prophecies. shadeclan bel ieves that the stars control the weather, and sun ny days are meant for intense work while storm y days are meant for relaxation. intense or long -lasting storms are seen as rewards for very hard work, and are typically when shadeclan cats ar e at their happiest. natural disasters, famine, dr ought, and sickness are seen as the stars' punish ment for treachery, and usually result in the kill ing of whoever the leader suspects a traitor. fox glove plants, though highly poisonous, are colle cted and worshiped by shadeclan, who believe that they are sacred to the stars and symbolize j udgement of the highest kind. traitors are often fed foxglove as punishment for their crimes, bu t this depends on the severity of the betrayal (it is often reserved for those who are in cross-clan relationships or otherwise conspire with other c lans/groups), and some manage to escape into t he forest before this can happen. ❦ appearances shadeclan cats come in all colors and sizes, but lithe dark-colored cats are the most common, w hile solid & tabby pelts are more prevalent than bicolor, white-spotted, or tortoiseshell patterns. long fur is practically unheard of in shadeclan, with most cats being very short-furred. hairless and other purebred cats are extremely rare. ❦ territory shadeclan lives deep in a secluded pine forest, h idden away from other clans. their camp is situa ted in a small dip in the land, surrounded by bou lders and saplings. the center of the camp is dus ty and bare, while the edges are lush and swarm ing with plant life. the leader's den is a small ca ve formed by boulders and rocks, located by the camp entrance. foxglove grows in and around th e den, to the point where there is only a small sp ace inside the large cavern for the leader to slee p. the medicine den is located directly across th e leader's den at the end of the camp, and is ano ther boulder cave, deeper than the leader's den. along the sides of the camp are small dens for th e apprentices, warriors, queens, and elders, form ed by rocks and dense plant growth. the leader a nd medicine cats communicate with the stars via the star grove, a dense patch of foxglove about an hour's journey from the camp. when slept in, starclan will visit the cat in question.

mireclan was formed by accident. they use to be a group of rogues who were driven from their home in a harsh and cold mountain. after struggling for moons to find a new place to live, the last of the rogues stumbled upon an old and broken greenhouse on the outskirts of swamp a few miles from a few other patches of forests. with the devastation of losing their family, the last surviving rogue settled here. more cats would come across the old greenhouse and join the lonely rogue in their new home. slowly, the lonely rogue wouldn't be so lonely anymore.
the massive doors to the greenhouse are closed and are still locked from whichever twolegs locked them. however, there is a hole big enough for a cat to squeeze through a few pawsteps from the doors. the hole is shielded by bushes so cats will have to be careful about entering and exiting the camp. from the unknown time of neglect, the greenhouse is overgrown. the very center of the greenhouse is marked by a strange figure that resembles a lion. all ceremonies are held here by the leader of the clan. the leader will settle on one of the lion's massive paws while their deputy and medicine cat will take their places at the base of the statue. the glass roof of the greenhouse has mostly been repaired with ivy and vines so it's more plant than glass at this point. luckily their repair job keeps most of the rain and snow out of the camp, but sadly not all of it.
towards the back of the greenhouse is a large tree that has grown into the greenhouse. the warriors den and apprentices den is sheltered in woven bramble bushes around the tree. several pawsteps from the tree is a former flowerbed that has been structured with vines to protect the queens and kits of the clan. the elders sleep in a similar flowerbed situation as the nursery. to the right of the camp entrance is the medicine cat den. the medicine cat sleeps beneath a set of large shelves connected to an broken fountain that has been built up with brambles and ivy to make it more secluded. any herbs that the medicine cat gathers is kept on the selves. to get to the leader's den, you will need to climb up the tree and onto a large rafter in the ceiling. the leader keeps an eye on the clan from up here and can easily alert their clanmates to any dangers.
the greenhouse is mere pawsteps away from a large swamp. the swamp takes up nearly all of mireclan's territory, with only a few dry patches filled with conifer trees that the clan tends to find some of their better prey. depending on the time of year, the prey pile in mireclan will look very different. due to living next to a swamp, mireclan has to keep an eye out for dangerous predators such as alligators and anacondas.
ranks ↳ leader - the crane, the protector and leader of mireclan, often seen watching over everyone from their perch in the rafters of the greenhouse ↳ deputy- the pike, the fierce and often vicious second in command of mireclan, often jumps forward to protect the clan first after the crane sites danger ↳ medicine cat - the will-o-the-wisp (will-o-wisp), the mysterious and oftentimes disturbing healer of mireclan, usually keeps to themselves and has a strange aura around them ↳ medicine cat apprentice - the wisp, the smaller and just as disturbing apprentice to the healer, is sometimes more friendly towards their clanmates ↳ warriors - the newts, the resilient fighters of mireclan, take care of the majority of the day to day tasks in the clan ↳ apprentices - the efts, the eager and somewhat taxing apprentices to the newts, helps the newts complete their daily tasks as well as annoy the crane ↳ queens - the mother geese, the scary and fierce mothers of the precious little lives in mireclan, often stay inside their den tending to their babies ↳ kits - the goslings, the cute and curious little ones that will one day inherit mireclan, can usually be seen playing around the strange statue in the greenhouse ↳ elders - the toads, the most spoiled clan cats you'll ever meet, usually stick to their den and scare the goslings with tales of alligators and twolegs
prey ↳ common - crayfish (newleaf/greenleaf), swamp rabbits (all seasons), fresh water fish (all seasons but leafbare), egret (all seasons but leafbare) ↳ uncommon - waterfowl (all seasons but leafbare), nutria (all seasons but leafbare), swamp rats (all seasons), frogs (all seasons but leafbare) ↳ rare - newts (all seasons but leafbare), woodpecker (all seasons)
predators ↳ common - snapping turtles (all seasons but leafbare), wild boars (all seasons), alligators (all seasons), anacondas (all seasons) ↳ uncommon - otters (all seasons), beavers (all seasons), raccoons (all seasons but leafbare), eagles (all seasons), eels (all seasons but leafbare) ↳ rares - bobcats (all seasons), red wolves (all seasons)
terminology religion ↳ dark swamp - dark forest, place where all bad/evil cats go when they die ↳ wisp woods - starclan, place where all good cats go when they die seasons ↳ new poles - newleaf/spring, marked when tadpoles start to hatch ↳ gators swim - greenleaf/summer, marked when alligators start to appear more ↳ twoleg's prowl - leaffall/fall, marked when twolegs start visiting the swamp ↳ frozen mire - leafbare/winter, marked when the snow falls time ↳ first mist - morning time, when the swamp is covered in a deep fog ↳ toad's song - afternoon time, when toads/frogs are oftentimes heard ↳ mosquito's bite - evening/night time, when mosquitos start to come out sayings ↳ toads croak - one second, "i'll be back in a toad's croak" ↳ ?? - one minute, ↳ ?? - one hour, ↳ gatorfood - similar term to crowfood, can be used as a threat, "come into our swamp again and we'll turn you into gatorfood" ↳ toad-hearted - similar term to mouse-hearted, can be used as an insult, "you're a toad-hearted fool" ↳ enjoy the dark swamp - the harshest insult, equivalent of telling someone to go to hell, "i hope you enjoy the dark swamp, it's where you belong." ↳ when moss grows south - similar to the term 'when hedgehogs fly', expresses disbelief, "yeah, you'll be the greatest warrior in mireclan when moss grows south."

[ HISTORY] Icicleclan had called the valley home for moons. Generations of cats were born in the valley. But one cold night the clan had seemingly disappeared into thin air. Only one cat had managed to escape the rest of the clan’s fate, a queen. The queen had warned her kits of The Trees and the mountains beyond that, fearful to lose any more family to them. Icicleclan, once respected and known by every cat in the land, became obscured and forgotten. Until recently. [ LOCATION] Icicleclan is based in the mountainous landscape of Russia. Due to their location, their leaf-bare is harsh and their green-leaf is warm while their new-leaf and leaf-fall are mild. They have their camp located in the valley, on the land between the first and second spring [First spring = one closer to the camera, Second spring = the one in the background]. The first spring is used mostly by the cats themselves, no fish native to the spring. They use the spring for communal use, the younger apprentice and older kits can use it as their first swimming experience [Although they must be watched by an older cat since the spring can get deep]. Elderly cats use the spring to help their muscles strong and keep themselves warm. Medicine cats get water from the spring for their patients and warriors swim around the deeper part of the spring, egging the other warriors to jump onto the rocks in the spring. The second spring on the other is full of fish and used for hunting and, although a little chilly at first, is warm enough for the cats to swim around in. Further up the mountain is a mostly flat plain, this plain is used for apprentice training being flat enough to practice endurance or other skills such as it. The rocks on the plain can also be used to train certain skills. In front of the mountain, before The Trees is a small village, home to a handful of twolegs and many kittypets and loners. The village is a sweet spot for finding new cats and collecting herbs the twolegs have growing around their houses and in their gardens. Kittypets are almost exclusively found in the village, no kittypet wanting to go into The Trees. The Trees is the forest that leads to the valley, but the kittypets only know The Trees as a dangerous place where cats go to get lost and never return. Further up the mountain, a small path leads up to the tunnel. Down in the tunnel is a cavern, in the cavern is a large opal gemstone. This gemstone is called the Star-Stone by the Icicleclan cats. The only source of light in the tunnel is a small hole in the ceiling. When moonlight shines through the hole the Star-Stone glows, making the dark cavern bright. Medicine cats come to Star-Stone every half-moon to try to speak to Frosted Stars. Leaders and deputy will occasionally come to Star-stone to send Frosted Stars a request for a new cat. [ CAMP] The camp is located by the first spring. Large thickets and holly bushes make up the camp walls, the wall stretching a few tail-lengths away from the second spring and stopping at the edge of the first spring, leaving a mostly open wall to the first spring. The Mountain Stone is a large rock, theorized to have fallen from the top of the mountain, as if Starclan had pushed the rock down itself for the clan. The leader’s den is located under the Mountain Stone, a small mildly deep cave with room for one or two cats. The medicine cat’s den is very close to the leader’s den, the den itself is four aspen trunks surrounded by holly bushes and thickets, the wall is packed full of caribou moss to avoid cats being pricked by the holly leaves. The den is hollow inside for up to 5 cats at a time. The warrior’s den is located on the opposite side of the camp, opposite from the leader’s and medicine cat’s den. The warriors' den is located on a small ridge, the higher part of the den is reserved for senior warriors while the lower part is for newer warriors. The walls of the den are also packed with caribou moss, but much less packed than the medicine cat’s den and nursery is. The den can hold many cats at a time. The apprentice’s den is a few tail-lengths from the warrior’s den, their den is a shallow depression in the ground. The walls are made from thickets and holly bushes, pretty basic by den standards. Although arctic moss is used to pack the walls instead of caribou moss. The den can also hold many cats at a time. The nursery is the second closest [only seconded by the leader’s den] to the medicine cat’s den. The walls are slightly different from the other den’s walls. The walls are made of thickets, packed full of caribou moss with the flowers from a Japanese tree lilac packed into the walls, making the nursery by far the warmest den in the camp. The den can easily hold up to 6. mothers and their kits, although the den can get crowded if too many 5-6 moon old kits are still in the den. The elder’s den is a large, ancient hollowed out tree trunk, the open end of the trunk packed with thickets and holly bushes, along with caribou moss to make the den warmer for the elders inside. A small dip in the ground allows access to the trunk. The den can hold a few elders at a time, but since Icicleclan cats prefer to retire later then earlier it's hardly a problem. [ PREY+PREDATORS] Lemmings Minnows Squirrels Salmon Sable Pheasant Goshawk - (Common) Lynx - (Uncommon) Wolverines - (Rare) Siberian tiger - (Very Rare) Amur leopard - (Very, very rare) [ BELIEFS] Icicleclan believes in Frosted Stars, their version of Starclan. Although Frosted Stars are much more secretive and mysterious then Starclan. Frosted Stars' spirits rarely show themselves to non-leaders or medicine cats but once in a blue moon warriors are born with a deep connection to Frosted Stars. These cats are prophesied to do wonderful things for their clan. [ TRADITIONS] After the fall of the original Icicleclan, it has been rumored that the former members of the mountains still walk the mortal plain. They leave extra pawsteps in the snow, they appear in your peripheral vision when you least expect them, the meaner spirits are rumored to steal buried catches and trample herbs. The newest generation of Icicleclan wants the ghosts to know they mean no harm, it has become a tradition for newly made warriors to leave out a piece of prey for the ghosts. Rumor has it that the ghosts may favor a cat who has brought them food, assisting them silently through their lives until they pass on. [Requesting this cat for my founder!! <3]

BACKGROUND once regarded as a powerful clan living in middle of a forest that had once burned down, smokeclan is familiar with hardships. founded by shadestar, a former loner, smokeclan grew to unprecedented numbers. however, a string of murders by one of its own warriors, tidegaze, led to seasons of fear as the clan continued to grow. while outsiders would regard smokeclan as a success for many moons, those within the clan struggled to survive against the elements. whereas smokeclan thought they had a strong faith in starclan and believed that they, surely, could not be steered wrong, this faith was shaken forever when tidegaze's apprentice at the time murdered shadestar. following shadestar's death, her son was named leader and smokeclan came together under spiderstar, who swore that he would bring an end to the murders. at last, spiderstar discovered his mother's murderer when tidegaze attempted a coup to overthrow spiderstar and take leadership of the clan from the younger tom. however, tidegaze's control over the clan did not last long as the loyal smokeclan cats rose up behind spiderstar when he challenged tidegaze once more. the resulting battle divided smokeclan and, fortunately for young spiderstar, he and his followers managed to kill tidegaze along with many of the other rebels. those who were not killed in the battle were driven out of smokeclan territory, never to be seen again. when it seemed that smokeclan might have finally reached a point where they could be at peace, however, spiderstar's sanity began to slip. whereas he once had a purpose, his trust in his own clan began to falter and he constantly looked over his shoulder for signs of other traitors. despite advice from his father, hailstorm, his sister, icecloud, and from his deputy, dustmask, spiderstar continued to slip. once a promising and skilled young warrior became paranoid as he struggled with the responsibility of following in the steps of his mother, shadestar. in recent moons, spiderstar was noted as a recluse, speaking to few and trusting even fewer. at least, it reached a point when it seemed that spiderstar might lose support from his most trusted warriors. just when it seemed that matters might come to a head, however, smokeclan's territory was engulfed with flame when a storm hit, lighting striking the forest. chaos followed the fire, as large as the legendary fire that spread through smokeclan's forest seasons before shadestar started the clan. the fire spread rapidly, so quickly that there was no time to prepare. in the ensuing panic, smokeclan split into different groups. several cats died in the fire, include spiderstar's father, hailstorm, and smokeclan's beloved medicine cat, wolfsong, along with others. following the fire, spiderstar made it his mission to find his clan again, to rebuild smokeclan as his mother had in the past, and to become the leader he hadn't been able to be. once more, spiderstar had a mission for himself - to bring smokeclan to their former glory by reuniting his family. TERRITORY
smokeclan resides in the heart of a dense forest. the forest is broken by several winding streams that offer the chance to swim or fish. though the forest was once healthy and dense with evergreen trees, the forest has been damaged as a result of the recent fire. when shadestar founded smokeclan originally, she created in the camp at the heart of the original fire, where starclan marked as a spot blessed by making the forest their home. in following with tradition, spiderstar found where the recent fire began, where the forest was most blackened by ash, and reinstated a new camp. the new smokeclan camp is nestled at the eastern edge of their territory between two small streams to mark the camp boundaries. the leader's den is between two large boulders that created a gap between them, and the smokeclan leader climbs the tree over the boulders to address the clan. smokeclan warriors prefer to sleep outside for most of the year, but make dens in other small rock croppings and under bushes in winter. the apprentices also sleep outside near a tree trunk in summer and spring, and retreat to bushes when the weather turns cold. the nursery, elders' dens, and medicine cats' den are all made by bringing together ferns, fallen branches, and brambles to construct fortified and warm at all times. smokeclan was named originally for the way the ash hung in the air, appearing like smoke at night when the moonlight filtered through the trees. as a result of the most recent fire, this aspect of smokeclan territory is all the more prominent.
ATTRIBUTES noted for resilience and the ability to come together, smokeclan cats are particularly prideful, but also skittish. they are a group of cats who have known hardship and danger from the beginning, and want to stay away from it as much as possible. as such, they tend to remain isolationist and as far away from other clans as possible. as a group, they like to stick together and are noted to be loyal, but also put themselves first. they known betrayal well and fear that it will happen again. a cat who is not loyal to the clan first and foremost is not a cat that belongs in smokeclan. though medicine cats may take mates, romances with other clans is seen as a betrayal of smokeclan, and mothers may be driven out if discovered. though not plagued with enemies, smokeclan does not make alliances easily. in the case they do find allies, it is because of a common goal and a foundation of trust. even still, it is rare that smokeclan would stick its nose into another clan's problems, and are more than likely to remain entirely neutral in cases of conflict, blocking off all borders and going into hiding until it has passed. smokeclan cats are notoriously stealthy, aided by the thickness of the forest. adept at climbing and moving between trees, smokeclan warriors have developed a system of communication that does not require any speaking. quick to flee and rarely speaking their minds, smokeclan cats want to be considered elusive and unknowable to outsiders. NOTES this is my clan from advanced scribes. bringing spiderstar, breezefeather, shadowcall, talonsight, and stormbreeze (stormbreeze is currently a queen, due in 1m). there will be a list of cats that i wish to be found on patrols (will provide in my next post for patrols) from the advanced scribes version of smokeclan. i would like spiderstar to remain as leader.

| T he once scarlet-streaked sky was turned into one coloured ebony as menacing clouds loomed over the ocean, roaring with a fierce tenacity sure to send fear to any. Streaks of blinding light danced between the dark clouds, and once again the bellows of a raging storm cried out. The torrential downpour angered the seas below, and soon ocean and sky battled out. Waves began to reach deadly heights, consuming the grand vessels that had felt confident enough to brave this deadly ocean. The water was nearly dark as night, the foaming of the rabid waves a sharp contrast of stark white. Amongst the dark, storming night, the only sliver of light came from land. Standing tall, the stone structure towered above the rest, even the raging waves unable to reach its peak. From the top of the tower was a gleaming light, a signal of hope to the survivors of the ocean's madness.
These survivors, are the cats of the Realm Of Drowning Light.
The Realm follows a strict hierarchy, and any who are found disrespecting the crown are oftentimes sentenced to exile or execution. The Monarchs share their nine lives, with four lives for each, the ninth life being gifted to the gods.
emperor - rules alongside his partner, his word is law. empress - rules alongside his partner, his word is law. heirs - the progeny of the emperor and empress high bishop - speaks with the spirits and heals the sick and injured courtier - the companion of the emperor and empress guard commander - the commander of the guard guard - guardians of the realm commoner - commonfolk of the realm handmaiden - the nursery helpers storyteller - the retired and old understudy - young cats training to become guards, commoners, etc jester - the lowest rank, they are here only to entertain others |

LAUGHCLANA Life Is Worthless Without a Laugh Camp The cats of LaughClan reside in a huge cave. It’s partly flooded throughout the entire year, and moss coats the entire inside of the cave. Said moss is always wet and dripping, causing some cats to suggest that the Clan should be called WetClan: but once you meet their leader you'll understand the name LaughClan. The leaders den overhangs the flooded part, and it’s entrance is hung with moss and algae. It holds one cat, and has a ledge labelled the “Laughing Ledge”, where the leader will address the Clan. Underneath the ledge is an enormous slate island. Then, in the lake surrounding the island, are the rest of the dens, apart from the medicine den. Literally under the water. Although there is a slate filled tunnel leading to the air filled underwater cave, most of the stronger cats choose to hold their breath and dive through the lake. Once you reach the air camp, as it is affectionately addressed as by the cats of LaughClan, you will see the nursery tucked in a dark corner under the water. It’s large and has no “door” unlike the leader's den. In fact, none of these dens do, as LaughClan believes the water above will protect them enough. Next to the nursery is the apprentices den. It’s also large, although the warriors den is largest altogether. It has the second most ventilation, meaning it gets second coldest altogether. The nursery is warmest from these dens. Placed next to the apprentices den, the warriors den is the largest den here. It’s the coolest den, and has more nests in the middle for maximum warmth. The medicine den is positioned nearest the exit of the camp cave. You access it through a tunnel, which leads to the den section for injured and sick cats. Two more tunnels lead to an area for keeping herbs and another for the medicine cats themselves to reside. Just outside the camp entrance is a herb garden for the medicine cats to grow herbs. The territory is cliffs and mountains coated with snow and forest. One last notable thing of the camp is the cave with can be reached by rolling a boulder away and entering a tunnel. Inside the cave is a huge wall of snow and ice, which much be dug away for the leader and medicine cat to speak with the Cats of Ice and Snow.
Cats The name of LaughClan is drawn from the original leader and founder of the Clan: although at birth they were given the name Clear Morning they took the first Leader's name: Believer of the Ice and Snow, or ColdBeliever. ColdBeliever found literally everything amusing. They couldn't stop giggling and laughing, and passed it down to their descendants: Lucky Spark, the current leader, and the rest of the Clanborn LaughClan cats all have this ability to find anything funny. If you are taken in from outside the Clan, you must quickly adapt to the humorous attitude. As for the pelts of LaughClan warriors, they are typically light colours: white or grey with occasional brown or red cats such as Lucky Spark himself. The naming tradition is that they are named for a memorable experience in the past moon for the parents, for instance Lucky Spark is named for a near fire incident in the quarter moon before his birth.
I will be making this Clan here and keeping ThicketClan on CS. May Lucky Spark be this cat please!

“Beware that which creeps under the sun . We cast many shadows“IvyClan have made their home in a mountain forest, claiming an abandoned home and using it as their camp. Surrounded by a forest thickly covered in ivy vines, if not careful it can become very deadly. Above them looms a great mountain range that holds the falls, that connects to a stream the clan uses for their main source of water. The mountain range also contains a small cave known as the Ancestor Cave that glows with a million 'stars'. Here is where IvyClan cats go to speak to StarClan. Another main area in IvyClan is their training hollow where IvyClan apprentices are trained in basic battle skills, stealth, hunting, and climbing.
Known for their friendly appearance, but deadly and fierce nature, IvyClan is one clan no cat should dare anger. Lead by a small sweet looking she-cat named Snailstar. IvyClan do not take kindly to strangers at first, often making new members go through a small trail to see if they would be a good asset to the clan or not. Cats must take Silver Vine and stay the night in the Ancestor Cave. Cats are then put in a foggy high, hallucinating lost family members and creatures from the unknown. During this time cats experience a range of both good and bad things. Those who are able to stay inside the cave until Snailstar comes to collect them are then deemed worthy of staying in IvyClan. Those who fail are sent on their way, not welcomed to return. However Snailstar is not completely cruel is does not make kits or queens take the trial.
Snailstar as my leader please.

Number of Cats: 01| Next Starclan Visit: 7 posts | Pebbles: 0( half a moon ago ) Maple was what other cats called a Drifter. And frankly, she was quite happy with that. She loved to travel, to see the world. To never stay in a single place longer than a moon. The past season alone she'd seen a thunder-snake den, as well as a sky-piercing twoleg den, and she'd passed by several clans.
Clans...they seemed to be springing up like wildfire lately. When she'd been a kit, there had been a few clans, here and there, certainly not to the extent there were now. She'd watched a few of them from a distance. She never got close to the main camp, but she watched patrols and hunters. She'd gone into territory a few times, never talking to anyone or letting herself be seen, but she had seen their camps.
They were separated by rank, sleeping in different dens according to their role. It was...confusing. From what she'd seen, clans were like large families, you wouldn't keep your family apart from you just because you had different jobs.
But none of that mattered. It wasn't like she was planning on joining a clan anytime soon. She was a drifter. She was content to wander the world.
So why, why in the name of the Great Cats was she suddenly looking at some old piece of twoleg junk, and wanting to stay there?
Alright, admittedly it was a very large piece of twoleg junk, in fact, it looked like a thunder-bird, though it was much larger than any thunder-bird she'd ever seen. Letting her paws guide her, Maple circled the sleeping thunder-bird. She paused when she saw the two black circles wedged underneath the bird. They looked like the paws of monsters. Maybe they were the thunder-bird's paws? If they were, then the thunder-bird couldn't be sleeping. There was moss climbing up the black paws. She'd never slept long enough to take on moss. Which meant the thunder-bird must be dead.
Continuing to circle the beast, albiet in a much more relaxed manner now that she knew it wasn't going to roar to life, Maple found that a piece in the back of the thunder-bird had fallen to the ground, creating a ramp leading up into the creature's belly. She knew twolegs went in and out of monster's bellies, and a thunder-bird was basically a flying monster, but dead or not she wasn't sure if she should climb up into the heart of the monster.
Then she saw something. A flash of pale light inside the beast, like a star being born. Unable to ignore her curiosity, Maple placed a single paw on the hard ramp. When the monster didn't roar to life and try to eat her, she put another paw on, and then another, until all four paws were firmly on the creature. She shivered, but kept going at a steady pace.
When she reached the top of the ramp, Maple squinted her eyes and peered inside of the creature. What she saw was...actually quite surprising. The inside of the thunder-bird was...empty. There was hardly anything inside. Clear-stone allowed sunlight to filter into the creature, as well as the opening Maple was standing on. Then she saw the light again, and her mouth fell open.
"Nibs?" Maple whispered, hardly able to believe it. "Is, is that you?" Nibbles had been one of the cats she had let into her heart back when she was a kit. Nibbles had died almost a half season later, and Maple had begun to drift. She'd gone back for a while, and met Nib's sister, but took off again before she could try and get attached again. The small kitten nodded, a purr reverberating through the inside of the thunder-bird. "You remember me!" the kitten purred, sounding absolutely delighted.
Maple felt her throat choke up, but she managed to get out "Of course, how could anyone forget you?" the kitten's chest swelled and she beamed "That's true!" Maple took a few steps closer to the glowing form "How, I mean, you were..." she finally decided to say "How are you here?" the kitten continued to beam at her "Well where did you think cats went when they died? We don't just go poof! We go to the stars, and that's why I'm here! They were gonna send some scarred beat up cat, but when I found out who they were gonna send him to, I decided to sneak out and come first!"
Maple titled her head, confusion flooding her entire being "What are you talking about? Send a dead cat to do what?" her ears pinned back slightly, and her eyes widened with fear "I'm not dying am I??"
Nibbles let out a yelp of "NO! Oh Maple, no no no noooooo!" She beamed "Even better, you're gonna be a leader! Of a clan!"
Maple frowned, tail flicking slightly. "Nibbles, why in the name of the Great Cats do you think I would be a good clan leader? I'm a Drifter! Not some sort of warrior!" Nibbles nodded "Yeah, but the ancestors saw you in visions or something, they saw you, which means you're going to do it at some point." She seemed to be unable to resist adding in a "So there!"
Maple sighed "Nibs," she started, but the tabby kitten cut her off "No! No, no no Maple. If you don't want to be a leader, then don't be a leader, be a Chief, or a Teller, or you could even call yourself a Twoleg if you wanted, but you're gonna be the leader!" a strange tone entered the kits voice "You have to Maple, or bad things are gonna happen."
Maple frowned, ears flicking back slightly "What are you talking about?" Nibble's tail twitched "I...I don't know everything, they weren't talking much about it. But, somethings gonna happen Maple, a bad cat is coming." the kittens head shook, fur fluffing out as she continued "And you're the one who's gotta stop him. You and your clan, you're gonna save the day, but you have to be the leader to do it."
Maple's tail flicking increased as she spoke "Nibs, look, how do you know it wasn't some other Maple they were talking about?" Nibbles smirked "I can't say! That'd be telling. But I know it was you, with no doubt it was totally you they were talking about. So, will you be a leader Maple?"
Maple hesitated, then sighed "You always did win our fights. Alright Nibs. I'll do this." she paused "But, I don't want to be called a Leader, that's too important of a name for my liking." she paused, remembering a word she'd heard from some of the cats in the thunder-snake nest. "I'll just be the Captain."
Nibbles puffed out her chest and purred "In order to make it official, wait until tonight and go straight out from the way you came in, it'll take you a few hours to get there, but the Moonpool awaits you there. I can't give you nine lives by myself after all!"
The kit vanished in a burst of starlight with a final purr of delight.
Maple sat and wrapped her tail around her paws, smiling, but not entirely convinced that she wasn't dreaming.
( present time )
It hadn't been a dream. Maple had gone in the direction Nibs had told her to, and had found the pool of water, as promised. And, as Nibs had said, she'd met the kitten again, who directed her to touch the water with her nose and then sleep. She'd done so, and woken up in a starry version of the thunder-bird.
There had been nine cats surrounding her in the thunder-bird, including Nibbles. They were all strangers to Maple, but each had given her a piece of their story. One had apparently lived in the thunder-bird but died long ago, proving that it was indeed dead. Each had given her a life, ending in Nibbles, who had looked up at her with pure pride in those wide blue eyes as she chirped "We greet you, Maplestar! Leader of Hearthclan!" (Maplestar had tried convincing the kit to pick a different name, but Nibs was as stubborn in death as she'd been in life)
And now, well, she supposed she was supposed to go back and ask if they could start her off properly. If she was going to do this, then she was going to do it right.
Also known as begging them to send some-cat to help her.

HAZIL'S REPLIES NEWLEAF ✿ -------------------------------
-----------------------
| The Season of Spring. During newleaf, kittings will run much smoother and the chances of the queens or kits dying during birth will go down dramatically. There is also a higher chance of you catch more prey than usual. The chances of catching greencough, whitecough and kittencough will go down. With all the snow melting, it is very likely that your territory will start flooding. There will also be more storms that will contribute to the flooding. The odds of finding new cats is very high. |
