Poppypaw sighs heavily, and notes the way his sister flinches at the sound. It makes him smirk, and he reaches out a paw to shove her gently.
Redpaw laughs brightly at this, and they share the moment up until Poppypaw sighs again.
"Well, good and bad news. Which do you want first?"
At Redpaw's deadpan expression, he gives a small snort and an exaggerated eye-roll.
"Alright, alright. Bad news first." Poppypaw takes a moment to compose himself, before forcing himself to actually look Redpaw in the eyes instead of closing them like he normally does.
"The bad news, is you do appear to have caught the same cough that Fawnpaw just got over. You'll need to stay in here for the rest of the moon, and I don't have more honey for you. However," Redpaw shuts her mouth with a click, nose scrunching up before she gives a small nod: a sign to let him continue. "the good news, is it's just as harmless as his was. We have catmint, which should help more than the honey did, and hopefully you'll be out of here even sooner than Fawnpaw was. That said, you better start getting comfortable."
Redpaw lets out a startled laugh at the end, and Poppypaw grins in response. At least he can still make his sister laugh, even if his jokes are poorly timed.

Petalkit peaks her head over Rimefrost's back, and lets out a curious chirp.
Rimefrost returns the chirp with a happy purr, and reaches back to pick her up by the scruff of her neck to place her down between her paws. Rimefrost then gets to grooming the gray kit, despite Petalkit's squeaky protests.
It makes Rimefrost's chest rumble with the force of her next purr, and then there's a much quieter squeak coming from her stomach.
She stops grooming Petalkit for a moment, and leans down to gently nose at the two little bundles of fur that are beginning to wake up. Petalkit takes this as a chance to escape, and awkwardly manages to get out from between Rimefrost's paws and stumble over to the other kits, chirping curiously again.
The one that woke up first squirms closer to Rimefrost's belly, and she nudges the other one to follow, before resting her head on her paws and allowing her eyes to slip shut. She can feel Petalkit also make her way over for breakfast, and is pleased to note how the older kit manages to avoid stepping on either of them, as if she thinks they're going to break.
"Petalkit, meet Garlickit and Thymekit. They're your little brother and sister." she softly lets out, and winces a little as Petalkit accidentally bites down in her surprise at being spoken to so suddenly.
Petalkit pulls away and stumbles back to Rimefrost's face, and butts her forehead against her cheek until Rimefrost raises her head enough for Petalkit to scramble under it to be smothered.
Rimefrost lays her head back down, and purrs evenly. She can feel how Petalkit falls asleep to the feeling of it, and smiles softly. She had been a little scared about how Petalkit would react to the competitors for her affection, but she sees now there was no need. She's absolutely confident that nothing can come between the little family she has here.
The only thing that could make this more perfect would be if Mallowpath were here, but she pushes that thought aside for now. No use in being sad; not when she has three little miracles here waiting on her to be a kind and loving mother.
She stays awake just long enough to note that Garlickit and Thymekit both fall back asleep after eating, before allowing herself to drift off as well. And if her dreams are full of her mate being here to witness all of this, then that's just for her to know.

Redpaw wakes up the hushed whispers, and gives a groan to let them know that she's awake and can hear them, so there's no use in them trying to keep quiet.
Everything does go quiet for a second, and she thinks that maybe they left, but then there's a rough tongue dragging across her forehead, and Redpaw scrunches up her face before lashing out and swatting the guilty cat in the face for their troubles.
There's a loud laugh, and Redpaw relaxes a little at recognizing Lionpaw's booming voice.
"Nuh uh, you're awake now! No going back to sleep!" Lionpaw yells, and Redpaw cracks open an eye to glare up at her annoying sister.
Standing behind Lionpaw are Cottonpaw and Fawnpaw, and she offers them a tired smile. This earns an offended noise from Lionpaw, and makes Redpaw laugh a little as she pushes herself up to a sitting position.
"Hey, hope you don't mind that we woke you up." Fawnpaw softly greets, and Redpaw would've rolled her eyes if she hadn't learned the day before that rolling her eyes makes her incredibly nauseous. Instead she raises a paw and waves it a little, like she's shaking off some water.
"'s fine, was bound to be wakin' up soon an'ways." she manages to mumble, and shoots Lionpaw another halfhearted glare when she laughs again.
The other three then start talking about what they've been doing the last two weeks while she was confined to the medicine den, and Redpaw is extremely grateful for their presence. She tries her best to pay attention to their stories, but soon enough she's being shaken back away as Lionpaw and Cottonpaw are being shepherded out of the den by Spiderwhisker.
"Sorry if we bored you. You should get back to sleep, and trust me when I tell you that falling asleep sitting up isn't comfortable. We're leaving now, but I hope you get better soon, Redpaw." Fawnpaw manages to say this all softly and slowly enough that she manages to catch all of it, and Redpaw gives him a tired smile and touches her nose to his for a brief moment before allowing herself to go boneless and collapse back on the ground with a yawn.
She hears Spiderwhisker telling Fawnpaw to leave as she falls back asleep, and can feel another smile making its way onto her maw before she falls asleep. She's so glad to have such caring friends in her time of need like this.

Looking down at the camp from the highest point on the island, Swanstar allows herself to reflect. It's been 9 moons since she found this place now, and her Clan is thriving so much more than she ever thought would be possible. She still expects to be awoken from her dream, with Trout and Tuna teasing her for taking her "stupid dreams" so seriously.
A twig snaps behind her, and Swanstar whips around, before relaxing and rolling her eyes.
"Ah, it's only you."
The tom makes an offended noise, and Swanstar can't stop herself from laughing at the sound of it.
"You're horrible, you know that? You're killing me. You're killing your brother, Swan. How does that make you feel?"
"Oh finally. It's about time that happened." comes another voice, and Swanstar laughs even harder.
Getting up to her paws, she turns around fully to watch her brother and her cousin squabble for a few fond moments, before heading over happily.
"Come on, you must see if from the top. It's what I used to see in my dreams." she claims, and that shuts up both toms as they follow her back up to the peak.
Staring down, Swanstar feels her heart swell at being able to share this view with her family. She can feel them settle down on either side of her, and she lets her head tilt to the side to rest against Hawkeye's shoulder.
They stay there in silence for a long while, until Swanstar is startled back into alertness by one of Crownose's loud yawns. She chuckles softly, and moves to stand.
"Sorry, you two probably came up here to do something other than just stare at scenery with me, huh?" she teases.
Crownose shakes his head, and she's shocked to hear Hawkeye just give a grumbled refusal. "We just wanted to come up her and spend time with you. We don't get a lot of time together, at least not like we did back home. It's nice to just be able to sit around together."
Hawkeye gives a grunt of agreement, before starting the trek home ahead of them. Swanstar sighs fondly, and heads after the two of them with her heart soaring. She truly loves her family, and wishes that everyone else could come here as well. Though it's highly unlikely too happy, it certainly won't stop her from dreaming.

Pondfly watches the strange molly making her way around the camp, and once she's away from the other one that she seems to talk to so often, he takes a deep breath and finally approaches her.
"Hello!" he greets, and he can't help but think it's a bit adorable how she startles before whirling to face him.
He met her briefly when he first came here, and he can see recognition flash across her features before she relaxes.
"Ah, Pondfly, was it?" Bearfang questions, and Pondfly nods excitedly, happy that she remembered his name. She gives a little hum, and that's all the acknowledgement he needs to carry on speaking.
"Yes, hi! Sorry, this is a little strange. Calling to you out of the blue, haha!" it's clear he's nervous, but he's really counting on her not noticing because she hasn't known him very long.
She blinks up at him slowly, and wow. Her eyes are kinda spooky, being such a brilliant yellow against all that pure black. He can definitely see where she got the prefix of Bear from.
Bearfang eventually tilts her head a little, and gives a confused smile. "Well, yes. It is a bit strange, but it's fine. Is there something you needed from me?"
Pondfly freezes up a little bit. Is there? He honestly didn't think this through, he just wanted to talk to her??
"I, uh, was wondering if you could show me around? Amberlight was telling me you were one of the first cats to join this Clan! So I thought, that uh, that you'd be a good person to ask?" he mentally winces at the end of his speech. Why did he phrase it like a question? You're supposed to be confident here, Pondfly!
Bearfang hums softly, before giving a small nod. "Sure, I can do that. Frostfur is actually someone better to ask, but it's best you stick with me for now. She'd chew you up and spit you out before you could blink."
Her tone is teasing, and Pondfly can tell how fond of this Frostfur Bearfang is just from the way she says the other mollys name. He assumes she's the other cat that she was hanging out with, and smiles. It must be nice to have such a good friend.
"Thanks! Is your friend really that scary?"
Bearfang seems to freeze a bit at the word friend, but Pondfly doesn't look much into it.
"Yes, she's quite crass. That aside, let's get on with this."
Pondfly does his best to listen to everything Bearfang has to say, and finds himself impressed at how much work they've apparently put into making this camp look so nice. Most of the dens are dug out in the soft soil under the large bushes lining the shore, and then there's bramble and moss laid down for the cats to sleep on.
Swanstar's den kind of reminds him of a rabbit burrow, and he says as much.
"Makes sense. She's practically a rabbit with the way she's hopping around all the time." Bearfang snorts, and knocks shoulders with him with a beaming grin on her face and wow. She's gorgeous.
They carry on with their little tour, with Bearfang pointing out how the nursery is deeper dug than the other dens. She says it's so that the kits can't climb out too easy and potentially get hurt, and Pondfly smiles fondly. It's cute, the little details that these cats have put into the design of their camp.
The medicine cat den as three different little areas. There's the smallest section, where Spiderwhisker and Poppypaw apparently sleep. There's also a larger dug out area, with part of a random bush ripped out and shoved a quarter of the way through. On the far side of the bush is the herb storage, and the closer area is where they've been letting the sick cats stay.
Bearfang notes that Redpaw is supposed to be in there right now, but right now she's over with Poppypaw, and seems like she's about to shake all her fur off with how she's practically vibrating.
They ignore her and whatever's going on, and carry on.
Eventually they end back up where they started, and Bearfang then immediately slips back off to Frostfur's side.
Pondfly pouts a little bit, before giving a shrug and trotting off in the opposite direction. That's fine, he can always talk to her another time. For now, he wants to explore deeper on the island, where the camp isn't. Might as well have some fun with the rest of his time.

"Well, everything seems to be fine. Congratulations."
Redpaw opens her mouth on a wordless scream, before turning to Poppypaw and lunging at him. He laughs, and manages to roll with her, eventually pinning her down with a proud purr.
"You better get lost before I make you take some nasty herbs for being so annoying." he teases, and Redpaw shoves both of her front paws into his chin with a laugh.
He stumbles back, and she's quick to get on her feet and dart away, laughing all the while. She hears him yell after her, but doesn't stop to hear what he says. She's free! She's healthy! She's so excited, she can barely think straight!
Cottonpaw is the only apprentice in the den at the moment, and she barrels into his side without a second thought.
"I'm better! I'm back! Hi!"
Cottonpaw lets out a little 'oof' at the collision, but is quick to recover and butt their heads together.
"Redpaw! Oh thank goodness, Lionpaw and Fawnpaw have been insufferable without you here." he teases, and Redpaw laughs even harder. She can't wait until their back too, and she can't wait to go find Bearfang! She's so excited to get back to training, having to rest for a whole moon was so BORING!
Redpaw laughs brightly at this, and they share the moment up until Poppypaw sighs again.
"Well, good and bad news. Which do you want first?"
At Redpaw's deadpan expression, he gives a small snort and an exaggerated eye-roll.
